22 Pennsylvania Counties Participate in STEAM Lending Library

In 2015, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation partnered with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3 (AIU3) to launch a first-of-its-kind STEAM Lending Library, giving Allegheny County school districts access to cutting-edge educational technology. After completing training at the AIU3, teachers can borrow these tools to introduce students to STEAM learning.

With support from a PA Smart Grant, the initiative expanded to 22 counties across Western Pennsylvania, significantly broadening student access to STEAM education. To date, the program has reached over 400,000 K–12 students, underscoring the Penguins Foundation’s focus on expanding educational opportunities.
