Penguins Join Rainbow Kitchen to Serve Thanksgiving Meals

Published November 27, 2024

The spirit of Thanksgiving was in full swing as Pittsburgh Penguins players teamed up with Rainbow Kitchen Community Services to serve a warm holiday meal to those in need. Together, they delivered 80 homemade Thanksgiving dinners—complete with all the fixings—to local community members.

Rainbow Kitchen, based in Homestead, plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity. Through programs focused on hunger relief, child nutrition, and wraparound support services, they provide a critical safety net for those who need it most—including children, seniors, people experiencing homelessness, and the working poor.

The Penguins Foundation is proud to support Rainbow Kitchen in its mission to uplift and nourish our neighbors. We’re especially grateful to share these meaningful moments during the holidays—and to help make the world a better place, one meal at a time.
