Hug-A-Hero | Month of the Military Child
April is the Month of the Military Child. These children deal with separations, deployments and even their parents’ injuries as part of the life they were born into. The Pittsburgh Penguins are inspired by their strength and proud to salute these children with Hug-A-Heroes, which lend support during these trying times. Each Hug-A-Hero is customized to have a picture of the child’s parent on one side… a member of our military who is serving overseas.
How to Give a Hug-A-Hero:
Give the gift of a Penguins Hug-A-Hero by donating at pittsburghpenguinsfoundation.org. The Pens, along with 84 Lumber, have committed to provide 500 Hug-A-Heroes to our littlest and bravest fans. Join us with your donation today through April 30.
How to Get a Hug-A-Hero:
As a parent or guardian of a military child, you are welcome to complete our request form for one (1) complimentary Hug-A-Hero. Requests will be accepted through April 30 with 500 random requests eligible to receive their own Hug-A-Hero. If your request is selected, you will receive a code to redeem your complimentary Hug-A-Hero via the Hug-A-Hero website in May.
