Penguins Foundation’s Fourth Annual ‘Night of Assists’ Gala Presented by Highmark Set for February 21

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation will bring the vibes of New Orleans to PPG Paints Arena for the fourth Annual “Night of Assists” charity gala presented by Highmark on Tuesday, February 21.

For the first time since February 2020, Penguins players, coaches and management will be in attendance to take part in the organization’s signature charity event of the season, which supports the mission of the Penguins Foundation. Tickets are on sale now.

“Night of Assists: Unmasked”, set for Fat Tuesday, will be themed to the Big Easy with live music and entertainment direct from New Orleans courtesy of Blue Earth Artists. Penguins players will host casino games including blackjack, roulette and craps plus additional themed interactives such as The Bead Toss and The Fan Boat. AT&T SportsNet personality Dan Potash and Penguins Alum Colby Armstrong will serve as the gala’s co-emcees. Authentic cuisine and signature cocktails will be available to all guests with jambalaya, beignets, frozen hurricanes and the classic Sazerac cocktail as featured items.

Musicians from New Orleans will be on-site including Delfeayo Marsalis’ Uptown Orchestra, the John Gray Quartet and BEP Brass Band. Guests can also expect to join in as ‘revelers’ in the Night of Assists Second Line Parade.

This season’s “Night of Assists” charity gala will have a few twists in comparison to past Penguins charity galas:

  • The V.I.P. experience will take place inside the suites of PPG Paints Arena with personal player interaction.
  • The main level of PPG Paints Arena will be themed to the Streets of New Orleans allowing guests to stroll amongst iconic destinations with a Penguins flair.
  • For the first time, an after party will occur in the Lexus Club hosted by the Penguins Alumni Association. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase an add-on pass in support of the Penguins Foundation to unwind with the legends of the Penguins.

To date, “Night of Assists” has raised over $1.2 million to assist the Penguins Foundation.
